Do you know how cleaners work?
The main ingredient in most cleaners is called a “surfactant”. Surfactants make water wetter! Wetter water??? Yes!
Surfactants lower the surface tension of water -- that means making the water less likely to stick to itself and more likely to thin out and get under the dirt or interact with dirt, oil and grease more easily. Wetter water makes cleaning easier.
A surfactant also lifts dirt from a surface and holds it to be carried away by the water.
